IERNA’S HEATING & COOLING
Air of confidence that is returned to the community

Gaceta Latina | Lutz | Ierna's Heating and Cooling

By Maria D. Barros

mariab@gacetalatinanews.com

Lutz, FL.- It’s true that there are several home appliances which we can do without, but in the sunshine state when it comes to well-being, air conditioning is a priority due to the high temperatures and relative humidity in the summer months.  Homes and buildings are designed based on the continuous operation of the equipment thus working at full capacity 365 days a year.

According to Charlene Ierna, Vice President of Ierna’s Heating & Cooling, a leader in repairs and sales of air conditioning systems in Tampa Bay, the average life span of an air conditioning unit varies between 5 and 7 years according to the care received, taking into account that the minimum routine maintenance should be carried out twice a year, while the filters should be changed at least once a month, without forgetting that the malfunction of the unit makes your electric bill increase.

In other words, the maintenance of your air conditioning will avoid the discomfort caused by the heat, humidity, and the pesky mosquitoes that are in the home or workplace, saving around 3-4 thousand dollars in the long term.

Definitely, one has to hire service that is guaranteed and this precisely is the work of Ierna’s Heating & Cooling, who has been on the market providing weatherization services for homes, manufactured homes, light commercial and new construction in the Tampa Bay area since 2003 when spouses Ron and Charlene started the business from a room of their home in Lutz. Year after year their business grows, thanks to the excellent professional service based on educating the customer by giving an honest diagnosis and their philosophy of building their business by creating long term lasting relationships with their customers and the community.  These nine years with 26,000 satisfied customers, Ierna’s Heating & Cooling has acquired four companies of HVAC, including the most recent acquisition of Armor Air Heating & Cooling of Trinity.  Adding about 6000 customers, has increased its workforce to 44 employees, with a fleet of 21 trucks on the road every day, and the recent acquisition of a remodeled and modern site (old Lutz Bank) located just a block away from its current location in Lutz planned to open on January 1,  2013.  All these facts make Ierna’s Heating &Cooling the largest contractor throughout the Tampa Bay area, serving the counties of Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk.

Ierna’s Heating & Cooling offers repair service, installation and preventative maintenance for heating and cooling for all makes and models, at $29.95 (about $ 50 in savings).  It is considered the most economical in the market because it includes complete checkup and cleaning of 21 points with the visit of the technician the same day and 24 hour service for emergencies with your HVAC system at any time of day.

Besides selling brand new Bryant systems, they also offer financing plans and maintenance and spare parts sales, ducts cleaning, air purification systems and electric generators.

“We guarantee the service the same day, and the next day if we do not have the part” Charlene said.

Estimates and second opinion on replacement systems are always free, with the faithful promise not to pressure the customer in making decisions.

Ierna’s Heating & Cooling is the largest Authorized Distributor of Bryant air conditioning systems in Florida and the third in the United States.

As for the technical service staff, they are certified by the most prestigious institutions demanding quality control and technical excellence, as NATE, EPA, FREON, and PURON for environmental conservation.

Ierna’s Heating & Cooling is a BBB accredited company and ACCA. Awarded the prestigious medal for excellence in the industry given by Bryant Heating & Cooling System for three consecutive years 2009-2010-2011 and recognized as Business of the Year in the category of cooling by the U.S. Local Business Association.

Its involvement with the community has earned significant recognition by nonprofit organizations in the Tampa Bay area, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Florida Aquarium, among others. Appointed as Business of the Year for Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce and a countless number of awards and acknowledgments for their philanthropic partnership to benefit our community with clubs, sports leagues, schools, charities in the area, and others.

Ierna’s Heating & Cooling great success started with a vision by spouses Ron and Charlene.  Their philosophy of giving back to the community has paid off keeping customers, employees, and the community satisfied.

Ierna’s Heating & Cooling has a bilingual staff, consisting of four technicians and a customer service representative to help the Latino community in their language. For your next air conditioning check up, allow yourself the opportunity to experience the fastest, professional, affordable, and guaranteed service. To speak with a Spanish Representative please ask to speak with Rosie asked in Spanish, by calling tel. (813) 262-9000.

Florida Aquarium halfway to $15 million goal after three donations

By Marissa Lang, Times Staff Writer
Tampa Bay Times
In Print: Tuesday, May 8, 2012

TAMPA — The Florida Aquarium was expecting a $1 million donation Monday, but came away with more than double that after two anonymous donors pitched in atop a gift from Publix’s founding family.

This money puts the aquarium halfway toward its Rising Tides Campaign fundraising goal of $15 million, said foundation chairman Tom Hall.

“We’re going to build a learning center, with their support, that will rival any other marine science program in the United States,” Hall said to a small crowd gathered Monday afternoon.

As sand tiger sharks circled above his head in the aquarium’s largest tank, Hall explained the organization’s ultimate plan: a learning center with five classrooms and a staging area — which would double the aquarium’s capacity for marine science classes and equip teachers to conduct long-distance learning with children from around the country — and a renovated front entrance and lobby.

This expansion would be the first in 17 years for the aquarium, located in the Channel District.

Barney Barnett, vice chairman of Publix, and Carol Barnett, head of Publix Charities whose father founded Publix, joined Hall, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and aquarium CEO Thom Stork in presenting a symbolic check to the facility Monday afternoon.

“When the world is watching us this August” during the Republican National Convention, Buckhorn said, “one of the iconic pictures that the world will see — not just in Indiana, but in India — will be of the Florida Aquarium.”

Carol Barnett said contributing to the aquarium’s growth and providing children an opportunity to explore their love of the sea was like fulfilling a dream from her youth.

“I’ve always had this sort of fascination with the ocean,” said Barnett, wearing a sea-star necklace and coral patterned sweater. “It’s not like space — you can’t put your arms around outer space. But with the ocean, you can reach out and grab it. It’s real. It’s enchanting.”

The two anonymous donors were inspired by the Barnetts’ generosity, prompting one to give $1 million and the other to donate $500,000.

Last year, the Mosaic Co. donated $2.5 million to the campaign, the largest single donation in the aquarium’s history.

The aquarium said it will break ground on the expansion in September, with subsequent construction projects taking place over a four-year period.
