Ierna’s Heating & Cooling At Ride for Hospice 2013

The 2013 Pasco Sheriff’s Mounted Posse Ride for Hospice was a huge success for all those involved. This year’s expanded event featured a two-day mounted horse ride that raised money and awareness about the Gulfside Regional Hospice. Every day this hospice helps more than 400 patients, with a staff of over 250, and a team of volunteers of well over 500. At Ierna’s Heating & Cooling, we pride ourselves on giving back to the community whenever we can. This was a great cause and we were happy to be involved.

The two-day event not only involved the mounted ride, but also featured various events that involved the whole family, even those who could not ride. There were pony, wagon, and swamp buggy rides, a Native American demonstration, nature walk and much more. On Saturday night, people gathered for a large bonfire and overnight camping before the main trail ride the following day. What better way to spend your weekend than by helping raise money to help those in need. Founded in 1988 by a nurse, oncologist, and physician assistant, the goal of the Gulfside Regional Hospice has been to improve the lives of those with life-limiting illnesses. It has since become a leader in premier hospice care in Pasco County.

At Ierna’s Heating & Cooling, we look forward to opportunities such as these so that we can bring the same hard-working attitude to promoting good causes as we do to heating and cooling solutions. Stay tuned to our Facebook for more information about our community outreach sponsorships.
